Moultrie County Historical & Genealogical Society
Member Since: 2024
The Moultrie County Historical & Genealogical Society was established in 1973 as an incorporated nonprofit organization. The purpose of the society is to bring together people of all ages interested in the history and genealogy of Moultrie County and central Illinois. We discover, collect, and preserve materials which illustrate the history of the area and its residents. Resources and objects are cataloged, preserved, and shared in various visual, print, and digital formats in The History Center. Programming, workshops, exhibits, displays, and library resources help visitors and residents learn about Moultrie County and surrounding areas as well as their own family histories.
