$15,959 Awarded in Nonprofit Microgrants
Fifteen Central Illinois nonprofit organizations are receiving a total of $15,959 in microgrant funding.
Microgrants are targeted to help fund professional development and training opportunities for nonprofit organizations/staff in Macon, Moultrie and Piatt Counties.
“Nonprofit organizations often struggle to find budget dollars to provide professional development opportunities for their staff and board members,” said HICF Director of Grants & Scholarships Andrea Gerhard. “This targeted funding can help successfully build nonprofit capacity.”
Gerhard coordinates the annual microgrant program, which began in 2010 following a lead gift from The Lumpkin Family Foundation.
