$20,000 Match Created by Donors Matthew & Natalie Beck

Matt and Natalie Beck have established the Beck Illinois Gives Challenge, a $20,000 matching fund designed to encourage even more charitable investment in our community through Illinois Gives.

As of July 30th, the Beck Illinois Gives Challenge has now been fully matched thanks to the incredible generosity of donors across our community. While the challenge funds have been exhausted, donors can still take advantage of the 25% Illinois Gives state tax credit on qualifying gifts while credits remain available.

Through this challenge, gifts made to eligible endowment funds through the Illinois Gives program will receive a 10% match, benefiting the fund of the donor's choice while available.

This opportunity comes on top of the 25% Illinois Gives state tax credit, creating one of the most impactful charitable giving opportunities currently available in Illinois.

How it works:

• Make a qualifying Illinois Gives gift to an endowed fund at the Heart of Illinois Community Foundation.

• Receive a 25% Illinois state tax credit.

• Receive an additional 10% match through the Beck Illinois Gives Challenge while funds remain available. Organization or cause must be located in the HICF three-county region.

• Create a lasting source of support for the organization or cause you care about most.

A $500 gift generates a $125 state tax credit and an additional $50 match. A $1,000 gift generates a $250 tax credit and a $100 match.

"Illinois Gives provides a unique opportunity for donors to maximize both their charitable impact and tax benefits," said Natalie Beck, CEO of the Heart of Illinois Community Foundation. "We hope this challenge encourages more people to invest in the long-term success of the organizations and causes that make our community stronger."
