Scholarships Available for Adults Pursuing Higher Education or Vocational Training in Macon, Piatt and Moultrie Counties

Macon, Piatt and Moultrie County Adults – Ready to pursue your dreams but need financial support to complete a two- or four-year degree, master’s degree, PhD or vocational training? The Heart of Illinois Community Foundation is offering individual awards for up to $2,500 per eligible applicant through the Adult Return to Learn scholarship program, helping to fund spring semester 2025 college expenses for residents living in Macon, Piatt, or Moultrie counties. Deadline to apply is Sunday, November 1; apply at heartofillinois.org.
Applications are being accepted for Macon, Piatt, and Moultrie County adult/nontraditional students who are 22 or older and are seeking to complete college degrees or training at any accredited college/university nationwide (in-person or online). Current students planning to continue their education by pursuing a Master’s degree or PhD beginning in Spring semester 2025 are also eligible. The awards range up to $2,500. The HICF launched the adult scholarship program in Fall 2021 and has grown to grant nearly $100,000 in adult scholarships every year.
