Chasity Casey Promoted to Chief Financial Officer

The Heart of Illinois Community Foundation (HICF) is pleased to announce the promotion of Chasity Casey to the position of Chief Financial Officer. In this role, Casey will oversee the Foundation’s financial operations, ensuring continued stewardship of assets and support for philanthropic impact across Macon, Moultrie, and Piatt Counties.

“Chasity’s commitment to our donors, deep understanding of nonprofit finance, and dedication to service make her the ideal person to lead our financial efforts as CFO,” said Natalie Beck, HICF CEO. “Her continued leadership will be instrumental as we expand our work, grow our endowments, and steward charitable resources.”

Chasity has been serving as Senior Director of Finance at HICF, where she distinguished herself through her passion for helping donors realize their philanthropic goals and her meticulous work managing the Foundation’s funds. Before joining HICF, she spent six years with the Decatur Family YMCA, where she was honored with the organization’s Outstanding Customer Service Award in 2016. Casey holds the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) designation from The American College of Financial Services and has earned her bachelor’s degree in business at the University of Illinois–Springfield. She has also served as board chair and still currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Decatur Family YMCA and led HICF’s successful re-accreditation under the National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations in 2023.

“Helping people and giving back has always been at the heart of who I am. At the Community Foundation, I’m honored to walk alongside our donors, support their charitable goals, and witness the meaningful impact their generosity brings to our community,” shared Casey. “I’m truly grateful for this opportunity and excited for the growth, connections, and continued service this role will bring.”
