HICF Launches New $25,000 Professional Development Grant for Educators
The Heart of Illinois Community Foundation (HICF) has announced the launch of a new $25,000 Professional Development Grant Program designed to support teachers across the three-county region served by the foundation.
The program will provide grants of up to $1,000 per teacher to support high-quality professional development opportunities, including conferences, workshops, trainings, certifications, and other learning experiences that strengthen classroom instruction and student outcomes.
"At the HICF, we believe investing in educators is one of the most powerful ways to invest in students," said Andrea Gerhard, HICF Director of Scholarships and Grants. "This new grant program responds directly to the needs we hear from teachers who are eager to grow professionally but face financials barriers to accessing meaningful development opportunities."
The grant application portal opens January 12 and will remain open until all funds have been awarded.
