HICF presents $800,000 in community grants in Clinton on behalf of an anonymous angel donor
Today our Heart of Illinois Community Foundation team had the honor of hosting a press conference at the Clinton Community YMCA to present three grants on behalf of an anonymous angel donor whose generosity will uplift the Clinton community in powerful ways.
This angel donor believes deeply in strengthening local organizations that serve children, families, and neighbors in need, and asked our HICF team to deliver these gifts quietly, humbly, and with gratitude.
Three grants were awarded:
- Neighborhood Care Center, $100,000, accepted by Cody Monkman, Network Director
- Encore Services, $200,000, accepted by Stephanie Coonce, Executive Director
- Clinton Community YMCA, $500,000, accepted by Rennie Cluver, Executive Director.
It was a privilege to share this moment with local leaders and to witness the impact that kindness can have on an entire community. We're thankful to Clinton Mayor Helen Michelassi and State Representative Regan Deering for joining us and speaking at today's event.
To Clinton: thank you for welcoming us so warmly this morning. Your spirit of collaboration and care shines bright, and we are grateful to play a small role in supporting the work you do every day.
And to our angel donor, though you ask for no recognition, the light of your compassion is felt everywhere these gifts land. Today reminded us that angels truly do walk among us, quietly changing lives with grace and generosity.
