Meet Our 2024 Summer Interns
Join us in welcoming Adrianna and Alyssa to the HICF team

Alyssa Thompson is a Senior at Mount Zion High School. She is an active Young Leaders in Action member and will be this year's Action Team Chair. When she is not busy at cheer, track, or show choir practices, Alyssa enjoys doing anything outdoors and spending time with her family and friends.
This summer Alyssa is beyond excited to gain hands-on experience, learn from professionals, and work on real projects. She also looks forward to meeting new people and making connections.

Through working with the Heart of Illinois Community foundation I hope to give back to the community that has shaped me into the individual I have become today.”
As a Decatur native Adrianna is extremely passionate about serving in her community. While attending MacArthur High School and Richland Community College Adrianna also plays an active role in Young Leader in Action as the Outreach chair, among various other extracurriculars. After Graduating High School with her associate's degree, Adrianna plans to attend University for her bachelor's in international business. After graduating she hopes to give back to her community while pursuing social advocacy.
This summer Adrianna looks forward to working with the Heart of Illinois Community Foundation while being able to serve and give back to her community.
