Desir’ee Wright is an Energy Transition Navigator for the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act of Illinois (CEJA). She is part of the HICF and a representative of our partnership with Workforce Investment Solutions. With a passion for community outreach and education, Desir’ee will actively work to raise awareness about CEJA's programs and recruit participants to workforce development and apprenticeship opportunities.
Drawing on extensive experience in project management and program development, Desir’ee brings a proven track record of success to her role. Prior to joining CEJA, Desir’ee served her community as a public safety professional and continues as a consultant to the Jerry J. Dawson Civic Leadership Institute where she connects students and community to civic related careers.
Beyond professional endeavors, Desir’ee is committed to her community. She serves as the Vice President of Communications and Membership for the Decatur Area Women’s Network (DAWN), is a member of She Gave Women’s Philanthropic Circle, and actively participates in a Women in Entrepreneurship Roundtable. Desiree’s dedication to personal and professional growth is evident through her certifications as a Registered Public Safety Leader, Certified Trauma and Resilience Practitioner and Trainer in Education, and Entrepreneurial Learning Initiative Facilitator.
A lifelong Decatur resident and graduate of Argenta-Oreana High School, Desir’ee enjoys spending quality time with her sons and her beloved Pitbull, Molly.
