“My ultimate goal is to be sunshine in human form! I love sharing kindness, joy and positivity with everyone I meet. Encouraging others and cheering on those who are pursuing their dreams is my favorite thing to do! I'm so excited to be a part of the HICF team because we do just that. I'm proud to work at a foundation that pours into their local community.”
Carly Eversole serves as Office Manager for the Heart of Illinois Community Foundation, where she supports the Foundation’s daily operations, donor services, and administrative systems that make local philanthropy possible. In her role, Carly helps ensure that gifts are stewarded with accuracy and care, nonprofit partners are supported efficiently, and the Foundation’s work across Macon, Moultrie, and Piatt counties operates with excellence and integrity.
A Decatur native and graduate of Eisenhower High School, Carly holds an Associate of Arts degree from Richland Community College and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Her academic background, combined with her professional experience, equips her with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills essential to a mission-driven organization.
Carly brings administrative and office management experience from the Macon-Piatt Special Education District and Hope Academy, where she supported educators, students, and families in dynamic, service-focused environments. Her work in education strengthened her appreciation for those who invest in future generations and reinforced her belief in the power of systems that uplift individuals and communities.
At the Community Foundation, Carly contributes to advancing philanthropy by helping connect donors’ generosity to meaningful community impact. She values the Foundation’s role as a trusted steward and connector, working behind the scenes to support initiatives that strengthen the region now and for generations to come.
In addition to her professional role, Carly has been a dance instructor at Studio B Legacy since 2010, mentoring young people through the discipline and creativity of the arts. She and her husband enjoy spending time outdoors with their daughter and staying closely connected to family and friends.
