The Hardy Family: Generations of Giving Back

Over time, Dan and Donna have supported a variety of causes, including the Children's Museum, Girl Scouts, Good Samaritan Inn, and other organizations throughout the community.

Their giving has evolved as they've become more aware of the needs around them. Rather than following a single formula, they have allowed their experiences and relationships within the community to help guide where they invest.

That approach has also led them to explore ways their charitable giving can have an even greater impact. Through the Heart of Illinois Community Foundation, the Hardys learned about the Illinois Gives Tax Credit Program and worked with their banker and the Foundation to put a strategy in place that allowed them to give in a more meaningful way.
