Solidarity through Charity
We Are One Fund sets 2020 year-end goal of $20,000 in new donations
We are honored to feature a donor advised fund at The Community Foundation of Macon County as they strive to reach a year-end fundraising goal of $20,000!
We are excited to announce that working families in Macon County have joined in solidarity to create the We Are One Community fund and we encourage your support
In a tradition of giving back where we live, work and retire - We Are One Community is a charitable giving fund created to help working families make a bigger difference through collective giving. The not-for-profit, tax deductible, donor-advised fund is housed at The Community Foundation and promises to award 99% of your donation to local charities.
There are 13,000 union members and retirees in Macon County. If only half of the membership gives $1 a week – or $52 a year - the group can collectively donate $338,000 each year to charity in the name of working families, not corporations. Imagine the possibilities!
You can give a one-time gift, provide an automatic draft from your checking account or ask your employer to do monthly payroll deduction. For your convenience, donations may be sent to: We Are One Community, 101 South Main St., Suite 400, Decatur, IL 62523. Click on the button below to donate online.
