Piatt County Opportunities

Collaboration, connections and promotion. We help raise the tide for our nonprofit partners.

The Heart of Illinois Community Foundation is a grantmaking public charity dedicated to improving the lives of people in Central Illinois. We bring together the financial resources of individuals, families, and businesses to support effective nonprofits in Macon, Moultrie and Piatt counties.

We assist nonprofits in the wonderful work they do to make Piatt County a better place.

Cristin Wright, Piatt County Philanthropic Advisor, can be reached at cwright@heartofillinois.org and her office is located in Monticello at the Chamber office, 200 E. Railroad St., Wabash Depot and Tourism Center.

The Piatt County nonprofit wish list launched in July. Piatt County nonprofits and schools should contact Cristin to have items included on the wish list.

In July, we welcomed Piatt County community leader Michelle Gross to our board of trustees. For our foundation to serve Macon, Moultrie and Piatt Counties with strategic generosity, it is essential local voices are part of our HICF staff and decision-making board of trustees.

In October, four Piatt County nonprofit leaders completed the two-day Developing Annual Sustainability Lilly School of Philanthropy course hosted by the Heart of Illinois Community Foundation.
