Third Decatur Peace Summit to be held May 4 at Salvation Army

Register today for the “Where Are We Now?” Decatur Peace Summit, the third in a series of four community-wide restorative justice meetings.
This event will be held Wednesday, May 4, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Salvation Army Community Center, 229 W. Main, Decatur. Reservations are required for this free event and dinner is included.
Keynote Speaker Heather Canuel of the Women’s Justice Institute will discuss community data/myths with the audience and will also ideas on how to bring needed resources to Decatur.
The event’s facilitator is Keyria Rodgers, director of the criminal justice program at Millikin University. “Where Are We Now?” is sponsored by Millikin, The Community Foundation of Macon County, The Salvation Army, Envisioning Justice RE: ACTION, a program of Illinois Humanities.
