Wright Named HICF Philanthropic Advisor - Piatt County

Cristin Wright of Monticello, IL, has joined the Heart of Illinois Community Foundation (HICF) in the new role of Philanthropic Advisor for Piatt County, effective March 4.

“Cristin has a deep understanding of the Piatt County community,” said Natalie Beck, HICF president. “She brings a depth of professional experience to this position and is a natural fit to lead our foundation’s outreach, funding and marketing efforts in her hometown.”

A retired educator, Wright taught in the Monticello and Champaign school districts for 34 years. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Eastern Illinois University and her master’s degree from Olivet Nazarene University.

An active community volunteer, Wright has been involved with the Piatt County Mental Health Board, Monticello Education Association, Beta Sigma Phi Service Sorority and Marisa’s Purpose.

“This opportunity will allow me to provide resources, education and avenues for growth to the wider Piatt County community,” said Wright. “I greatly look forward to working closely with nonprofit, educational and community leadership and sharing the transformative work of the Foundation.”

Wright resides in rural Monticello with her husband Mike. Together, they enjoy a family life that includes four grown children, their families, and several grandchildren.
