E-mail: cwright@heartofillinois.org

I feel very honored to be a part of The Heart of Illinois Community Foundation, where our goal is to enrich the lives of our neighbors right here in central Illinois. Service has been a lifelong calling for me so I value the opportunity to provide resources, education, and avenues for growth to the wider community. I’m thankful to work with so many kindhearted people who share a love of uplifting individuals and families to ensure that everyone in our community succeeds

As a Philanthropy Advisor, Cristin provides the leadership for The Heart of Illinois Community Foundation’s outreach program in Piatt County, matching the local needs of non-profit organizations to philanthropic resources. Grants to support education, workforce development, agriculture, and community development are collaborative projects that she helps to facilitate. As a Piatt County native, Cristin is invested in serving the needs of her community.

Earning a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Illinois University and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Olivet Nazarene University, Cristin enjoyed a 34-year career as an educator prior to her retirement. Serving the needs of others has always been at the forefront of her life; transitioning to an advisory role in philanthropy is a natural fit in helping her community continue to flourish.

Cristin lives in rural Monticello with her husband Mike. Together, they enjoy a family life that includes four grown children and their families, several grandchildren and so much happiness.
