The purpose of this program is to provide enrichment to children in food insecure homes. All children in this program are low income, many live in deep poverty. This program provides a reading circle, experiential activities in math and science, gardening skills, free library, and educational books and games for the children. Children from birth through age 12 learn through reading, science, music, nutrition, gardening, essential skills and family field trips. Kids Club invites families to experience new activities and expand their knowledge base through experiences that their living circumstances do not otherwise provide. A new gardening project will allow youths ages 10-12 to learn and enact leadership skills as apprentices. The goal of this project is to empower families with job training and money management skills. This fairly new organization is working to expand outreach and impact.
