Lee J. Robinson Fund

This fund provides assistance to children ages 6 through 20 in Decatur and Sullivan to help them participate in school, sports, recreational, and arts activities. Grant funding enables recipients to purchase equipment, attend special camps, sign up for extracurricular classes and pursue creative interests that might otherwise be out of reach.

Established by family and friends in memory and honor of Lee J. Robinson, who passed away February 21, 2006 from injuries received in a skiing accident. Lee was born December 24, 1977. Lee attended Sullivan Grade and High Schools. Lee graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 2000 and later received an M.B.A. from Millikin University in 2004. After graduation from E.I.U. he joined ADM in Decatur as a Commodity Merchandiser and held several positions with the company before moving to the Chicago office and worked on the Chicago Board of Trade Floor as a Commodity Options Broker in the Bean Option Pit. He later managed the Commercial Hedging Deals on the Floor and was a member of the Chicago Board of Trade. He left ADM to pursue his dream of becoming a Professional Commodity Fund Manager.

Past grant recipients include Sullivan Community Schools, Muffley Elementary School, Maroa Forsyth School District, Girls on the Run of Central Illinois and United Cerebral Palsy Land of Lincoln.
