Nonprofit organizations receive these great benefits!
- MCL members eligible to participate in a 1-day Lilly Family School of Philanthropy grant writing class presented by Kroger in January 2025. Class is limited to 50 participants. Registrations are first come first serve. One participant per organization.
- Nonprofits are eligible to apply for Microgrants to fund staff and board member trainings and professional development programs of their choice.
- MCL hosts the annual Do Something Great Awards luncheon, an opportunity to recognize staff, volunteers and donors through award recognition. Members may attend at no cost.
- Nonprofit executive directors and board chairs eligible to attend Endowment Building 101 Workshop to promote long-term support for your organization. Details on the new IL Gives Tax Credit will also be shared.
- Nominate a nonprofit staff member for a fully funded $850 scholarship to the Decatur Leadership Institute. One scholarship is available annually to an MCL member.
- Your nonprofit’s list of needed items – big or small – publicized on the Community Foundation’s website Community Wish List. Since inception, over $400,000 in wishes have been granted through the Community Wish List.
- Full-page ad promoting all MCL members in Decatur magazine published annually in April/May issue.
- Opportunity to attend MCL after hour events held 2 times a year. Your organization can apply to host member gatherings.
- Bi-weekly newsletter with information on grant opportunities and news and events.
- Priority registration for Nonprofit Network courses.
- Annual calendar with list of members distributed to area donors and professional advisors to encourage financial support.
- Free notary service.
