• Racial Equity Fund applications open and are accepted on a rolling basis.
• Update your organization’s wishes for the Community Wish List.
• Microgrants Fund applications open Jan. 9
February
• Microgrants Fund applications close Feb. 1
• Nominations are open for the Do Something Great Awards! 2024 Nomination Form.
• The 2nd Lilly School of Philanthropy fundraising course for the 2023 cohort participants, Developing Major Gifts, will be held from February 27-29 at the RCC Sequestration Center from 8:30AM-5PM.
March
• Microgrants recipients announced March 12.
April
• Update your organization’s wishes for the Community Wish List.
• MCL full-page advertisement in Decatur Magazine.
• CommunityWorks grant application portal opens April 9.
• Board Governance course held April 11, 13 and 15.
May
• Nominate a nonprofit staff member for a fully funded $650 scholarship to the Decatur Leadership Institute. Two scholarships available annually for MCL members.
• Board Governance course held May 2, 4 and 6.
• CommunityWorks grant application portal closes May 7.
• Do Something Great Awards nominations are due by May 24. A great opportunity to nominate donors, volunteers and staff for recognition and stewardship.
June
• MCL After Hours event on June 10 from 5-7PM at Richland Community College.
• CommunityWorks grant recipients announced June 11.
July
• Update your organization’s wishes for the Community Wish List.
August
• Impact100 grant application portal opens August 6.
• Do Something Great Awards held on August 13. Representatives from MCL member organizations invited to attend at no cost.
September
• Impact100 grant application portal closes September 13.
• Board Governance course held September 12, 14 and 16.
• Renew MCL membership for 2025. $200 annual membership fee.
October
• Impact100 grants announced October 15.
• Board Governance course held October 24, 26, and 28.
• Update your organization’s wishes for the Community Wish List.
• The 3rd Lilly School of Philanthropy fundraising course for the 2023 cohort participants, Developing Annual Sustainability, will be held Oct. 7-8. Richland Community College..
